Purple Gold - Mead Made with Honey

As a beekeeper, there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing the honey you’ve worked so hard to produce take on a new life. That’s exactly what the Purple Gold Blueberry and Raspberry Mead represents.

When we partnered with Foxes Den Meadery on this collaboration, the goal was simple: let the honey lay the base for building something layered and memorable around it. Our local wildflower honey is where this mead starts. For this mead made with honey, the bees do the hard work. They bees pull from a wide range of seasonal blooms, and that complexity carries all the way through into the final pour.

Then come the berries. Blueberry leads the way right from the first aroma, rich and inviting, followed by that deep, juicy character in the middle of each sip. The raspberry brings it all together at the end with a bright, slightly tart pop that keeps it from ever feeling too heavy. It’s sweet, yes, but balanced in a way that lets every ingredient have its moment.

Seeing this mead poured, with its bold ruby-purple color and inviting aroma, and tasting the way it drinks, creates a full-circle kind of experience. What starts out in the hive, something raw and natural, becomes something crafted and meant to be shared with good company.

Purple Gold reflects that collaboration between beekeeper and maker, between nature and process. For me, it’s a reminder of why we do what we do: to unlock nature's goodness, and create something worth savoring!
